After an easy but long trip with Qatar Airways from Sydney back to Badalona, I get my 3 bags with fishing rod coming out of it and start my way back to Happy Days.
Easy bus to downtown then the fun start on how to get to the 5pm crazy packed train as they are running late. Thanks to all the bike riders used to find spots where there is no room, 2 of them helped me in and out with my gears. Fantastic.
The best parts happened in the small bus for 2 stops ride. With all my gear, I am carefull not to hit anyone and slowly get on board. Having a chat with an old lady along the way, I request my stop at the marina but the bus driver just pass through…. Aiiii when I asked him, he keeps going and shout back something about next stop or so in catalan… sure a km extra on foot with 40kg of weird gear is exactly what I was looking for. But this was without counting on my newly found friend. She started complaining in Catalan that she could not walk back, at her age, it was a disgrace that he made her walk by missin the stop…(or something like that as it was in catalan.) The bus driver quick to realise his mistake then, puled over immediately at her request. So she just looked at me and wicked…”I’m not getting down here, just go.” Quick and savy the old lady made my day.
Great surprise on my arrival, the guys have delivered the dinghy newly named by Gloria and Eduardo: HAPPY NIGHTS. 2 big boxes in the middle of the boat which will be nuisance to walk around for the next days or so but who cares, one mor piece of the puzzle before we go.

More surprises will come!!! It is early Christmas a long list of lines, lights, tools, spare parts, will be coming which will keep me busy before I start sailing down the coast of Spain, the plan is to get to Cadiz before 10 December, so Happy Days will stay safe in Puerto Sherry, all ready for crossing the Atlantic and I can go to Australia to enjoy the Holiday!!! Let’s see how it goes!!!
